Throughout Elena’s professional career of 20+ years in the hospitality industry, she held several leadership positions, managed cross-functional teams, and implemented administrative and operational systems and procedures that included operating and capital budget development, contract management, employee mentoring, project management, and development of standard operating procedures. She oversaw a variety of growth initiatives within the hotel, retail, food, and beverage segments, and worked cross-functionally throughout the companies to analyze the marketplace and shape business strategies to capture profitable revenue growth. Elena held various business development and operational improvement roles at major Las Vegas-based hospitality organizations (MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, Pinnacle Entertainment). She also has a Ph.D. and M.S. in Hospitality Administration and currently teaches hospitality courses at UCI Continuing Education.

In her previous consulting experience, Elena assisted small businesses with business planning, financial projections, economic and fiscal impact analyses, and feasibility studies. She conducted a variety of primary and secondary business research: generating/editing survey instruments, collecting data, and processing and analyzing results.
