About Michael

Area of Expertise:
Retail, Consumer Goods, Services, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D Printing, Med-Tech.

My Experience:
I am a recovering serial entrepreneur. I have started, managed and sold several businesses in multiple industries. I am a huge supporter of small businesses in America and am passionate about startups. To that end, I founded and operate FastStart.studio, a mixed use business incubator in Irvine. My non-profit work includes Vice-Chairman of Tech Coast Venture Network (TCVN), a 30-year-old organization focused on educating and supporting O.C. entrepreneurs.

I have also founded AIM Mail Centers, a national franchise company of more than 120 units, a feat only 7% of franchise companies achieve. I also was featured on the cover of Successful Franchising Magazine and interviewed for the Franchise Update magazine for pioneering technology in franchising. At the Franchise Technology Conference, I participated as a presenter and a panelist twice. I was also the keynote speaker at the PC Synergy Conference and have presented multiple times at the Franchise Business Network.

Currently, I am an Entrepreneur in Residence at California State University, Fullerton and serve on the Board for the Center for Entrepreneurship.

How I Add Value to your Business:
My focus has been in the Franchise Sector where I have 30+ years of experience. I am currently serving a 4-year term as a Commissioner on the California Bar Associations Council on Franchise and Distribution Law. Though I have deep expertise in franchising, I am agnostic and help individuals who are starting or operating a business of any kind. I believe in systems and processes which are the backbone of Franchising but also absolutely necessary to build exceptional businesses Franchised or not.

Words of Wisdom:
Fall in love with the “problem,” not your solution. In doing so you will stay open to new approaches.
